Santa María de Tuñas

[edit]

Apparently the modern name of the town is Tuña. I don't know whether to change it in the article or not. —Muke Tever 22:29, 29 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Arquillos

[edit]

Rafael Riego was taken prisioner in a "cortijo" near of the village of Arquillos, not Anquillas

Perhaps the "Santa Maria de Tuñas (now Tuña)" or "Santa Maria de Tuñas" could be used..? Halibutt 08:38, Nov 30, 2004 (UTC)

Riego’s Rebellion: The Grand Expedition and the Loss of the Spanish Empire

[edit]

This is a well-documented historical fact with no known controversy. The article does not mention that the uprising of the Spanish army led by Riego contributed to Spain’s defeat and the loss of its Spanish American territories. Additionally, the information about this army and the fleet appears to be inaccurate. The article states that it consisted of 10 battalions, but historical sources indicate that there were many more units.

I have attempted to improve the accuracy of the article, but my edits have been reverted by User:Technopat. The user has also left me a message stating that my contributions are fabricated. I would appreciate guidance on how to properly present this information in accordance with Wikipedia’s policies.

I believe that this user may not be fully informed on the topic we are discussing or may have a particular perspective on it. My intention is to ensure that the article reflects accurate historical information based on reliable sources. I am open to discussing the matter constructively to find a solution that aligns with Wikipedia’s content policies Pipo1955 (talk) 23:42, 15 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
